Meet the Volunteer Program Staff

Diana Roach Senior Director of Volunteer Programs Diana Roach, senior director of volunteer programs, has over 12 years of experience recruiting an annual average of 200 volunteer assignments. Her previous experience includes being director of marketing for an agriculture commodity group in Ohio. For the past four years Diana has managed our volunteer programs and pursued new business opportunities for volunteer activities from both USAID and nongovernment funding sources. She heads the effort to increase the VOCA Foundation Fund for the support of additional volunteer-related initiatives around the world.

Diana Boni Recruiter for Volunteer Programs Diana Boni is a recruiter for volunteer programs and provides recruitment support for new business initiatives. She has been with ACDI/VOCA since 2006, following a year of private sector recruiting experience. She also served as a Peace Corps volunteer in El Salvador. Diana recruits for the Farmer-to-Farmer project in West Africa and the Cooperative Development Project in Paraguay, and helps other projects maximize the use of volunteers as needed.

Patrick Tracy Recruiter for Volunteer Programs Patrick Tracy has been a recruiter for volunteer programs since 2007. He recruits technical specialists for Egypt, Lebanon, Uganda, Kenya, Sudan and Rwanda. He also responds to requests from other projects that have occasional needs for volunteers. Prior experience includes 6 years of recruiting professionals for Fortune 500 companies and law firms.

Kara Lightman Recruitment Assistant Kara Lightman joined ACDI/VOCA in April 2010. Kara brings a valuable combination of international experience, volunteerism and administrative support work to our team. Previously, she interned in Cambodia and Fiji, working on gender-related issues. No stranger to working with volunteer programs, Kara trained street campaigners for a grassroots campaign in Boston and donated her time to Reach Out and Read while a student at Union College. Kara also brings solid administrative experience from her previous work in the international affairs department at the American Chemical Society.
